Juniper Sky Show Garden
Foras have been fortunate to be involved in the fabulous RHS Chelsea flower show for many years and have received the coveted gold medal on two occasions. This year, with the flower show happening for the first time in September, we have decided to build our own little piece of Chelsea permanently within our extensive show gardens at Stowbridge in Norfolk.
We have chosen to name our stunning sanctuary ‘The Juniper Sky Garden’. This was selected because Juniper is a much-loved evergreen which is declining throughout the UK, with 80% of the population now growing in Scotland. It is an incredible plant, providing fruit and nesting for masses of UK wildlife and is a key ingredient in our fantastic award-winning Norfolk gins. Juniper is also a symbol of safety and purity. The name is a reference to Norfolk’s reputation for stunning red sunsets and vast skyscapes, the even terrain giving an amazing perspective of space. The garden looks out to a glorious grassy meadow and a wild woodland to completely immerse you in nature.

The Juniper Sky garden sees the fruition of a project full of unity and local talent, designed by Lucy of Lucy’s Garden and decorated with exclusive Foras features, including the Norfolk made Foras Forge Oberon Armillary Sphere.
No journey through life is a straight and narrow path, Lucy has used this concept in her design. All the hard landscaping is built on multiple angles, taking you on different journeys as you enter and allowing you to explore the styles and themes of each area. The garden features a canopy of pleached parasol trees and many striking structural plants, used to offer interest throughout the year, with different shapes and textures. Planting is further enhanced with a selection of water features. Our flowing water bowls enhance the garden’s beauty and elegance creating an atmosphere of serenity with the sound of running water.
As well as amazing planting, the garden includes the cosy Nook cabin. Designed and built by our team, the Nook has a lush living roof and is furnished with Foras garden jewellery. With its strategic positioning and glass doors, the Nook allows you to enjoy and appreciate the garden from all angles. Following the line of the roof from the Nook is a solid oak pergola, handmade by our own artisans on site. It is a comfy space nestled against the old grain store. An ideal place to unwind and enjoy our Norfolk gins and vodkas – the perfect complement to Juniper Sky!
