Signature Vodka
The Foras Signature range is a collection of exquisite drinks, created by artisans in Norfolk, a marriage of local ingredients and local talent. New for Autumn 2024 is Signature Vodka, the true essence of luxury.
The first historical written mention of Vodka was in 1405, although in those times it was most commonly used for medicinal purposes and carried an ABV of around 14%. Many countries throughout Europe produced this clear elixir, however it seems to have originated in the area we now know as Poland. Vodka is now considered a luxury beverage, whether mixed into a glamourous cocktail or served ice cold and neat. As distillation techniques have improved, both purity and ABV have risen to an industry average of around 40%.
Foras Signature Vodka is double distilled and consequently sits at a higher ABV of 50%, the perfect percentage for complete clarity of taste. At this level the vodka will not crystalise when frozen, meaning that it can be stored in a freezer and served straight from the bottle perfectly chilled. The pure alcohol from the still is combined with fresh water from a pristine Norfolk borehole, located right next to the distillery.
Pure vodka carries a slight vanilla note when no other botanicals are present, and we have enhanced this within our unique recipe. A most gentle touch of 13 different botanicals, many sourced and hand harvested in Norfolk, give Signature Vodka a distinct, smooth and balanced taste. With the still located on a working farm and tended to by truly passionate artisans, our small batch distillation process ensures superior quality.
Foras Signature is unfiltered, to retain its full and unique taste. Serve over ice for a refreshing and uplifting treat or mix with quality tonic or lemonade and serve garnished with lemon for a longer drink.
